'Chill' tak mamat nih?

"Maka apakah orang yang beriman sama seperti orang yang fasiq (kafir)? Mereka tidak sama."

Surah As-Sajdah (32:18)

1. Kita semua dilahirkan dalam keadaan fitrah. Namun, dek malam dan siang yang silih berganti, kita membesar dengan pengaruh yang ada di sekeliling kita lantas mungkin lari daripada fitrah.

2. Pun begitu, kita tidak boleh biarkan diri kita hanyut, tetapi mesti mengekalkan sifat fitrah dan suci kita. Hanya dalam keadaan suci kita boleh memasuki syurga Firdaus empunya Yang Maha Esa. Kaedahnya tidak lain hanyalah dengan kembali kepada Allah melalui jalan-Nya.

3. Kali ini, saya akan cuba kupas tentang bagaimana kepercayaan kita kepada janji Allah dan perkara ghaib yang diajar-Nya akan mendidik dan mentarbiyah kita menjadi seorang individu yang paling pelik dan ganjil di dunia.

4. Mungkin perkataan yang lebih sesuai ialah unik. Bukankah kita umat islam umat yang unik dan lain dari yang lain? Kali ini, keunikan yang dimaksudkan adalah tentang bagaimana kita mendepani sakit sebagai ujian daripada Allah.

5. Ya, dan ia tidak akan berjaya dimiliki sehinggalah kita niatkan dulu dalam hati bahawa kita percaya akan janji Allah dan keyakinan ini adalah satu bentuk iman kita kepada perkara ghaib.

6. Tentu pelik bagi orang yang tidak beriman bila mereka mendengar seorang yang beriman mengucapkan terima kasih dan alhamdulillah kepada Allah ketika ditimpa ujian ataupun ketika sakit. Secara logiknya, memang aneh pun bukan?

7. Seolah-olah meminta sakit dan bala? Mari saya bawa kita meneliti sudut pandangan yang berbeza.

8. Teliti dulu hadis ini:

Rasulullah SAW bersabda, "Barangsiapa yang Allah menghendaki kebaikan padanya, maka Allah menimpakan kepadanya musibah."

9. Awak, tolong tutup sikit mulut tu, karang lalat masuk. Saya tahu, mungkin bunyinya agak menggerunkan. Seolah-olah lebih baik kita tak minta kebaikan, nanti kena musibah. Tidak hairan jika kita terpegun dan ternganga mulut. Tapi di sinilah menarik ceritanya sahabatku.

10. Sebelum saya menjelaskan dengan ayat saya sendiri, lebih elok kiranya saya padankan dulu dengan hadis di bawah, sebagai jawapan balas kepada hadis di atas:
Rasulullah SAW bersabda, "Tidaklah seorang Muslim ditimpa rasa lelah, sakit, kegundahan, kesedihan, gangguan dan kesulitan, hinggakan duri yang mengenainya pun, kecuali Allah akan menghapuskan dosa-dosanya dengannya."

11. Sekarang faham ke belum? Beginilah Islam mengajar kita. Setiap kesusahan dan kesakitan yang kita alami, tidak sama dengan orang yang tidak beriman kepada Allah. Hal ini kerana Allah SWT 'membeli' sedikit kesihatan kita (yang memang milik-Nya pun) agar Dia yang amat menyayangi kita akan menghapuskan dosa-dosa kita sebagai balasannya.

12. Kalau tidak dihapuskan, ia akan berkumpul dan tempat yang selayaknya baginya hanyalah api neraka yang tidak ada seorang pun yang sanggup merasa, jika kita tahu betapa pedih dan azabnya. Sayang tak Allah pada kita?

Tenang-tenangkan diri dalam mencari hikmah hidup dan kebijaksanaan-Nya ;-)

13. Allah dengan jelas menerangkan kebijaksanaan-Nya yang mungkin tidak pernah kita ketahui atau fahami sepanjang hayat kita.

"Tetapi boleh jadi kamu tidak menyenangi sesuatu padahal itu baik bagimu, dan boleh jadi kamu menyukai sesuatu padahal itu tidak baik bagimu. Allah mengetahui, sedangkan kamu tidak mengetahui."

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:216)

14. Saya pernah membaca satu komentar yang cukup meresap ke dalam hati. Komentar itu menyebut, untuk orang Mukmin, tatkala dia menghampiri saat-saat kematiannya, dan Allah memberinya sakit yang tenat, atau demam yang berat, hal itu adalah lebih baik untuknya, kerana sakit yang dideritainya itu adalah sebagai penghapus dosa, dan apabila tiada lagi dosa, dia mati dalam keadaan suci dan mulia.

15. Manakala, ada orang bukan Islam yang matinya langsung tidak ada sakit pada saat mautnya. Rupa-rupanya Allah ingin menunjukkan kekayaan-Nya yang tiada tolok banding kerana Dia Maha Adil. Bukankah orang bukan Islam juga pernah melakukan amal kebajikan sewaktu hidupnya? Mungkin menolong orang yang miskin atau merawat yang sakit? Maka, atas sifat belas dan adil Allah, dia permudahkan mati orang sebegini sebagai balasan amalnya di dunia. Jadi, pada hari akhirat, langsung tiada bekalan pahala untuk orang ini kerana sudah dibalas di dunia, maka tinggallah hanya dosa dan kehinaan padanya kerana tidak percaya kepada Allah sewaktu hidupnya.

16. Begitulah sedikit contoh akan bijaknya Allah SWT dalam mendidik hamba-Nya kita semua.

17. Ayuh kita renungi satu lagi hadis yang cukup istimewa pengajarannya:

Dari Abu Hurayrah RA, rasulullah SAW bersabda: "Cubaan itu akan selalu menimpa seorang mukmin dan mukminah, baik pada dirinya, pada diri anaknya, ataupun pada hartanya, sehingga ia bertemu dengan Allah tanpa dosa sedikit pun."

18. Hari ini, ingatlah kita. Selagi mana kita beriman kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya, kita akan terus menerus senyum dan tertawa walaupun ditimpa musibah dan ujian oleh-Nya. Orang yang beriman, dia menganggap semua itu sapaan lembut daripada Allah agar kita mengingati-Nya. Adakah orang yang tidak beriman mungkin mempunyai pemikiran yang sama? Sudah tentu tidak sama sekali.

19. Bayangkan kita menjadi orang yang tidak pernah sedih. Bila mendapat nikmat, kita bersyukur lalu ditambah lagi nikmat itu. Rujuk Surah Ibrahim (14:7). Bila ditimpa musibah pula, kita sabar dan senyum kerana kita faham itu mungkin teguran daripada Allah dan sapaan lembut-Nya untuk menghapuskan dosa kita. Dalam soal ini, adakah lagi sebab kita perlu bersedih dan mengeluh? Alangkah istimewanya bagi orang yang benar-benar beriman.

"Apakah manusia mengira bahawa mereka akan dibiarkan hanya dengan mengatakan, "Kami beriman." dan mereka tidak diuji?"

Surah Al-Ankabut (29:2)

20. Marilah kita sama-sama bersangka baik terhadap Allah dalam apa jua keadaan dengan sifat sabar dan mendirikan solat dengan mengharapkan rahmat dan kasih sayang serta keampunan-Nya. Allah tidak akan menguji kita dengan apa yang tidak mampu kita lalui. Rujuk Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286). Jika mungkin terkadang terlalu berat untuk kita tempuhi satu-satu ujian itu, maka kita mintalah pertolongan daripada-Nya dengan senjata sabar dan juga doa (mendirikan solat) sujud merendah diri kepada-Nya.

"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, mohonlah pertolongan (kepada Allah) dengan sabar dan solat. Sungguh! Allah bersama-sama orang yang sabar."

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:153)

Ingatlah, hidup ini hanya satu perjalanan yang sementara, menuju destinasi kekal di sana ;-)

21. Demikianlah sedikit sebanyak yang dapat saya kongsikan untuk kali ini. Sebagai penutup, ingin saya tekankan juga di sini bahawa kita perlu ingat walaupun Allah menguji kita dengan musibah dan ujian yang pelbagai, adalah selayaknya kita merendah diri mengakui bahawa setiap yang melanda kita adalah hasil kelemahan dan kesalahan diri kita sendiri. Itulah yang selayaknya. Siapalah kita untuk sentiasa sempurna.

"Dan musibah apa pun yang menimpa kamu adalah kerana perbuatan tanganmu sendiri, dan Allah memaafkan banyak (dari kesalahan-kesalahanmu)."

Surah As-Syura (42:30)

22. Bersyukurlah kita kepada Allah dan yakinlah akan janji-janji-Nya. Moga-moga dengan semangat ini, kita akan sentiasa hidup bahagia sama ada ketika hidup di dunia mahupun pada hari akhirat kelak amin..

Nabi Ya'qub AS pernah melafazkan:

"Hanya kepada Allah aku mengadukan kesusahan dan kesedihanku."

Surah Yusuf (12:86)

Doaku Untukmu~

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim~

Hai kawan-kawan! Saya suka cerita ni. Jadi saya nak share dengan kawan-kawan. Baca ye,jangan tak baca! =)

Once upon a time....

Ahmad dan Ali ialah dua orang sahabat karib dan mereka tinggal berjiran. Kedua-dua mereka hidup dalam kesempitan dan kemiskinan. Setelah seharian berusaha, masing-masing akan berdoa.

"Apa doamu pada hari ini?" tanya Ahmad kepada sahabatnya.

"Aku pinta semoga esok hari aku dimurahkan rezeki. Bulan ini perbelanjaanku lebih daripada biasa," jawab Ali.

"Doa kau?" Ali pula bertanya.

Ahmad cuma senyum tanpa berkata apa-apa.

Keesokan hari, Ali memberitahu Ahmad berita gembira. "Alhamdulillah doa aku semalam dimakbulkan Allah. Majikanku beri bonus pada hari ini."

"Alhamdulillah. Hari ini kau akan berdoa apa pula?" tanya Ahmad.

"Aku berdoa semoga isteriku selamat bersalin," jawab Ali.

Mereka berdua pun masuk ke dalam masjid, mengerjakan solat dan masing-masing berdoa.

Sejurus usai berdoa, Ali bertanya, "Kau pula berdoa untuk apa hari ini?"

Ahmad senyum. Masih tiada jawapan.

Beberapa hari kemudian, Ali memberitahu berita gembira. "Syukur isteriku selamat bersalin malam tadi. Nampaknya doaku makbul, Mad."

"Tahniah, Ali."

"Aku berdoa juga agar anakku selamat," kata Ahmad dengan wajah muram.

"Kenapa dengan anak kau?"

"Anakku yang bongsu sakit, Ali. Keadaannya amat membimbangkan."

"InsyaAllah, kau doalah kuat-kuat sikit. Minta anakmu selamat," kata Ali.

Beberapa hari kemudian, mereka berbual usai solat seperti kebiasannya.

"Bagaimana dengan anak kau?" tanya Ali.

"Macam itu juga. Sudah beberapa hari tapi keadaanya cuma bertambah baik sikit sahaja."

"Doa banyak lagi Ahmad. Aku tidak sangka doaku sangat makbul. Hampir setiap doa yang aku doakan mustajab. Tapi kau...." kata Ali.

"Kenapa dengan aku?"

"Mad, aku lihat doamu tidak mustajab."

Ahmad tersenyum.

Melihat Ahmad tersenyum, Ali semakin hairan lalu bertanya lagi, "Aku hairan, doa kau tidak makbul tapi kau masih boleh senyum?"

"Sebenarnya doaku telah banyak dimakbulkan Allah. Syukur alhamdulillah."

"Doa yang mana? Sebab aku tidak lihat apa-apa perubahan pada kau."

"Doaku sejak dulu hanya untuk kau, sahabatku. Setiap hari aku berdoa agar Allah makbulkan setiap apa yang kau doakan kepadaNya."

Nah, indahnya peribadi Ahmad kan? Mengasihi sahabatnya seperti dia mengasihi dirinya. Bagaimana pula dengan kita? Doa kita untuk sahabat-sahabat, saudara-mara dan orang lain sangat tinggi nilainya di sisi Allah SWT. Sayangnya manusia selalu mementingkan diri, hatta dalam doanya kepada Allah.

Jadilah seperti Ahmad, juga seperti golongan Ansar yang Allah ceritakan kepada kita dalam surah Al-Hasyr,59, ayat 9 :

"Dan orang (Ansar) yang telah menempati kota Madinah dan telah beriman sebelum (kedatangan) mereka (Muhajirin), mereka mencintai orang yang berhijrah ke tempat mereka. Dan mereka tidak menaruh keinginan dalam hati mereka terhadap apa yang diberikan kepada mereka (Muhajirin), dan mereka mengutamakan (Muhajirin), atas dirinya sendiri, meskipun mereka juga memerlukan. Dan siapa yang dijadikan diripnya daripada kekikiran, maka mereka itulah orang yang beruntung."

SubhanAllah, jauh sekali nak dibandingkan dengan diri ini yang selalu berlengah-lengah tatkala ibu ayah minta bantuan, jarang bertanya khabar apatah lagi memikirkan keadaan sanak saudara, berkira-kira dengan sahabat-handai hatta dalam perkara yang remeh-temeh...

Ya Rabb,Kau jadikan kuatkan kami untuk mencontohi golongan Ansar~

A very special prayer

Assalamualaikum...

Maaf kerana terlalu lama menyepi.

Sekadar berkongsi satu artikel (terbaca di sini) yang sangat menyentuh hati saya, moga ia juga dapat menyentuh hati kalian, seterusnya dapat diamalkan secara istiqomah =)

A very special prayer, guess what?

Saya yakin kalian juga selalu mengamalkan doa ini, cuma mungkin kita terlupa untuk menghayatinya.

Mungkin sahaja ada antara kita yang meninggalkannya begitu sahaja kerana hukum bacaannya hanya sunat, tak termasuk dalam rukun,

Naudzubillah, moga selepas membaca entry ini, kita tak lagi termasuk dalam golongan itu...

Sebab apa?

Simply because the du'a is very simple, yet it could be very special when you really mean it and we shouldn't just leave ourself to miss asking from Allah, very special requests that other people ask right?

Tak lain dan tak bukan, doa yang lazimnya dilafazkan sebanyak 17 kali sehari semalam (sekurang-kurangnya), bacaan antara dua sujud...perasan tak bacaan tu doa? (oops,macam baru perasankan?)

Okay, mari kita mulakan...

Dengan rendah hati nyatakanlah permohonan ampun kepada Allah,

Allahummaghfirli (Ya Allah, ampunilah aku).

Diamlah sejenak, buka dada dan diri kita untuk menerima ampunan daripada Allah.

Tetaplah membuka diri kita untuk menerima ampunan Allah.

Ulanglah permintaan itu beberapa kali hingga kita merasakan ketenangan.

Kemudian sampaikanlah permintaan kedua,

Warhamni (dan belas kasihanilah aku).

Diam dan tundukkanlah diri kita untuk menerima belas kasihan Allah yang tak terhitung nilainya.

Bukalah dada kita seluas-luasnya agar semakin banyak belas kasihan Allah yang kita terima.

Ulanglah beberapa kali hingga kita merasa cukup.

Berturut-turut sampaikanlah permintaan-permintaan berikut dengan cara yang serupa, satu persatu.

Warfa'nii (dan angkatlah darjatku).

Wajburnii (dan cukupkanlah segala kekuranganku),

Warzuqnii (dan berikanlah rezeki kepadaku),

Wahdinii (dan berikanlah aku petunjuk).

Wa'aafinii (dan sejahterakanlah aku),

Wa'fuannii (dan berikanlah kemaafan kepadaku).

Setelah selesai, diamlah sejenak lalu sampaikan rasa syukur kita betapa besarnya nilai doa ini, sebuah doa yang selama ini hanya kita remehkan begitu sahaja.

Diriwayatkan oleh Ibn Abbas r.a., maksudnya:

"Ya Allah! Ampunilah dosaku, dan belas kasihanilah aku, dan angkatlah darjatku, dan cukupkanlah segala kekuranganku, dan berikanlah rezeki kepadaku, dan berikanlah aku petunjuk, dan sejahterakanlah aku dan berilah keampunan kepadaku."

Dear Sir/ Madam,

REQUEST TO HAVE A RELOOK AT STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC TIME TABLE

The above matter is referred.

2. As Hari Raya started on Friday, 10 September 2010 this year, a number of students had to go through some inconvenience regarding their holiday because there were still classes on Thursday, 9 September 2010, the day before Hari Raya Holiday. It was uncalled for on their part and also that of lecturers as some classes were not only compulsory but also important for the students, i.e Clinical Skill Unit (CSU) for batch ME109, to name one.

3. The implications were quite obvious and apart from students’ absence from the lectures, some that may be able to attend may have not coped well with what was taught that day on the eve of a big celebration especially for Muslim students. One of the reasons for the absence, was because some students have to travel far back home such as to Sabah and Sarawak and 24 hours is just not enough even for a one-way trip. Nevertheless, I am writing this letter not only representing the Muslim students but all others and we hope that in the future, the day before such an event would always be designated as a holiday, be it Hari Raya, or even Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Christmas, to name a few.

4. We strongly believe that your department is always aware of this situation and it’s not a surprise if this matter has been brought to your department earlier by some other parties. If that is the case, I hope you would treat this letter just as a formality as we are a society that feels obligated to always bring up matters regarding students’ welfare to relevant authorities. We hope that you would take the matter aforementioned into consideration and let not the same thing happen again in the future.

5. It is much appreciated if you could respond to this letter and we thank you very much before hands for your time and consideration.

Genocide - The Destruction of An Identity

1. There is something strange about the behaviour of Israel towards Gaza. Arrogance is of course a part of the Israeli character but beyond that they seem to have a long term plan. On the excuse that rockets had been fired at Israel from Gaza, Israel invaded that strip of Palestinian land, killing 1,400 Gazans, wounding many more and razing to the ground 20,000 homes, over 100 schools, hospitals and other Government buildings.

2. International pressure apparently forced Israel to stop the carnage and to withdraw from Gaza. A kind of peace appeared to have been established and numerous countries pledged billions to rebuild Gaza. After that, news about Gaza ceased to appear in the media and the assumption was that the pledges of aid were being honoured and rebuilding was in progress.

3. After months of silence in terms of media coverage, it was discovered that Israel had blocked aid material and aid workers from entering Gaza. Supported by Egypt, the border between that country and Gaza was closed. The crossing point at Rafah was guarded by Egyptian security personnel and only limited supplies were allowed to pass.

4. Then an NGO group called the Free Gaza Movement sent small boats to Gaza with supplies of food and medicine. Two or three boats got through but after that, of two other boats which tried, one was rammed by an Israeli naval ship, throwing the passengers and supplies into the sea. The other was boarded by Israeli commandos and forced to go to Ashdod port in Israel. The occupants were later released but nothing is known about what happened to the aid supplies.

5. It is clear that Israel with the support of Egypt was carrying out a siege of Gaza. Deprived of medical supplies and exposed in make-shift shelters to the harsh winters, many of the sick and wounded, the old and the small children died.

6. Hearing of the siege, the PGPO (Perdana Global Peace Organisation) of Malaysia suggested that a flotilla of passenger and cargo ships be sent to Gaza. In May 2010 the flotilla set sail but while the boats were still on the high seas, Israeli commandos attacked and killed nine Turkish aid workers on the Mavi Marmara, and injured many others.

7. The boats were forced by the Israeli warships to sail to Ashdod in Israel where the aid workers were detained but were subsequently allowed to make their way back to their own countries.

8. The boats remained at Ashdod. The Israelis reported that they themselves had sent the aid material to Gaza. How much of the material was sent is not known but certainly the Israelis found no weapons of any kind in the cargo carried by the boats. Otherwise they would have invited the world press to show these weapons as proof that the mercy workers were terrorists.

9. Since then Israel has threatened to regard any aid ship from Iran as warships and would attack them, while a Libyan ship with medicine and food is also threatened.

10. Why is Israel doing this? The ships never entered Israeli waters on the way to Gaza and there has been no evidence that weapons were carried. Nor were the people accompanying the cargo in any way connected with "terrorists". There were old women and babies among the people on the MV Mavi Marmara.

11. But it is not only Gaza that the Israelis have put under siege. All the territories that should be under the so-called Palestinian Authority have also been made inaccessible.

12. When I and my small entourage tried to go to Palestine to see the destroyed village of Jenin and to go to Jerusalem, Israelis manning the border between Jordan and Palestine delayed us for more than two hours and so prevented us from seeing Jenin or going to Jerusalem as we had to leave Palestine by 6.00pm. It seems that Israel does not want visitors to visit Palestine and see what the Israelis are doing to Palestinian land.

13. As is well known, Israeli settlements have been built all over Palestinian territory. In addition roads were built which the Palestinians were not allowed to use. A high wall has been built not to separate Israel from Palestine but to break up the villages of the Palestinians.

14. The Palestinian Authority is an anomaly. The UN in 1948 had divided Palestine between the Jews and the Arabs to create two states - Israel for the Jews and Palestine for the Palestinian Arabs. The Arabs were hounded out of Israeli territory through threats of massacre as happened in Deir Yassin.

15. There should therefore be two states on Palestinian land - Israel and Palestine. But after the 6-day war launched by Israel supposedly because it feared attacks by Arab States, much of the Palestinian territory, including Gaza and the West Bank were occupied by Israel.

16. Even then after the attacks were stopped there should still be a state of Palestine on the parts not occupied by Israel. Somehow or other the state of Palestine ceased to exist. Instead there was created the Palestinian Authority and the world seem to accept this as a fait accompli.

17. During World War II much of France was occupied by Germany but the state of France continued to exist having its capital in Vichy. There is no reason why the state of Palestine could not exist even if its territory is much diminished. But the fact is that there is now no Palestine but only a Palestinian Authority.

18. With this the state of Palestine ceased to exist. However, despite the many Jewish settlements built on the remaining Palestinian land, despite obvious evidence of Israeli rule over much of Palestine such as Israeli check-points and control of Palestinian borders together with roads through Palestinian land reserved for Israelis, the world still thinks that there is Palestine and Palestinian land.

19. Although there is a Palestinian Authority, it has in fact no authority over any Palestinian land at all. The Israelis are free to do what they like in places said to be under the Palestinian Authority. Even the collection of taxes are done by the Israelis. At one stage the Israelis refused to hand over the taxes they collected to the Palestinian Authority.

20. Democracy was promoted as a solution to the Palestinian issue after Fatah was persuaded to go along with U.S. plans for a peace solution. However when elections were held Fatah lost to Hamas. Despite all the beliefs in democracy, the U.S. supported Israel in not allowing Hamas to form the Government of Palestine. Instead Fatah was recognised as the Government.

21. Frustrated by U.S hypocrisy Hamas set up a government in Gaza. Even though the Hamas Government was denied jurisdiction over all Palestinian territories, there was no way to dislodge its rule in Gaza.

22. The implication is that whereas the Israelis can build settlements and rule the part of Palestine supposedly under the Palestinian Authority, it cannot do the same in Hamas controlled Gaza. Israel must therefore find other ways of bringing Gaza under its control via the Palestinian Authority.

23. The invasion of Gaza by Israel was therefore to be expected. But so brutal was the Israeli war of occupation of Gaza that the world was revolted by it and forced the war to be stopped. But the Israelis were not going to be so easily frustrated. Without regard for its peace undertakings and international law Israel immediately blockaded supplies and contacts with Gaza by the outside world.

24. The strategy appears to be to weaken the resolve and spirit of the Gazans, to render them so physically weak that the next time Israel invaded the strip the Gazans would be incapable of strong resistance. Eventually it would have to surrender. With this the Israelis would be able to build settlements and exercise authority over Gaza as it has done over the other parts of Palestine.

25. If there should be a negotiation for a two-state solution, it is unthinkable that the Israelis would vacate their settlements or subject themselves to rule by a Palestinian state. They would physically be under Israeli rule and de facto if not de jure be a part of Israel. The bits and pieces of the remaining Palestinian land would still be under Israel control. There would be no recognisable Palestinian state. In fact agreements notwithstanding, there would be only Israel occupying the whole of the land once known as Palestine. There would be no Palestinian identity. Palestine and its history would be lost.

26. This is a form of genocide. A whole people will have been made to disappear very much as if they have all been exterminated. The world will forget there even was a Palestine.

27. My fear is that while the world may forget, the Palestinians and their descendents will not. They will always remember. And remembering they will continue their struggle, probably in ways that the world may have to pay a heavy price for. We are seeing some of it now but what we will be seeing would render peace for the world meaningless.

Ramadhan Returns

Assalamualaikum (may peace be upon you)

Hey hey!! It's Ramadhan again!! (though it's almost 10 days of fasting :)) A month full of blessings from Allah and opportunities for the muslims around the world.

Well, we can always expect different responses from everyone as people have varying targets to be achieved for this special month.Some will be very excited at the thought of gaining extra 'pahala', some would want to use this opportunity to lose weight while others might be frustrated that they can't play futsal in the evening (afraid of getting too tired).

But, what should be our actual aim? Hmm, I believe we can use one of the very popular verse in Surah Al-Baqarah (especially during Ramadhan) as reference.

"O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you As it was prescribed To those before you, That ye may (learn) Self-restraint-" (2:183)
*self-restraint is a translation of 'taqwa'

We had started fasting ever since we were as young as 7 or 8 years old, which means around 15 months of experiece ie a month per year (assuming you are 22 years old this year). Now, let us ask ourselves,

How have our fasting been? Have we been going through the same routine yearly since we were kids? Have we ever tried to improve it over these years or at least, even ponder on the objective of fasting?

Begin With the End in Mind

It is important to get our objective right, as the result will depend on it. Again, what defines right or wrong? For muslim, we have to always refer to the Quran and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. And as stated above, fasting is prescribes so that we may learn Self-restraint. I don't intend to elaborate on the meanings of this verse (tafseer) as I'm not an expert in that field, but still, from the translation itself, we can see what Allah Subhanu wa Taala wants us to achieve through fasting.

She Studied Using The Light From Her HP

Gaza – Ma'an – Gaza's top Tawjihi student felt like she broke the siege against her with determination and the light from her mobile phone, she told Ma'an the day she received the news of her success.

Asma Amin Tubasi from Rafah remembers her father telling her to stop studying using the old oil lamp after a series of accidents in the Gaza Strip saw children injured and homes burned due to unsafe fuel smuggled in from Egypt.

"She would study 18 hours a day, and she has made me so proud today, scoring 99.4 on the literary stream of the Tawjihi, the highest score in all of Gaza," her father said.

From September to January, Asma's family had an average of 2-8 hours of blackouts each day, but in January, when the Palestinian Authority took over fuel transfers to Gaza from the EU, a shortage of funds and fuel lead to blackouts of 8-12 hours day.

"These power cuts exacerbate the already difficult living conditions in Gaza and disrupt almost all aspects of daily life, including household chores, health services, education and water and sanitation services," a special UN report on the electricity crisis in Gaza reported in May.
"I was just hoping for a better ending," Asma said, explaining that when the oil lamp was no longer an option she would use the light on her phone.

Her father, who works for the Ministry of Waqf (religious endowments) in Gaza, said he worried she would damage her eyes reading in such low light, with rolling power cuts spreading darkness over the Gaza Strip by 10 in the evening.

Her achievement is all the more impressive given the troubles plaguing the education system in Gaza. Statistics from the UN have shown that attendance and performance in public schools have declined as a result of aging education infrastructure, overcrowding, and frequent disruptions caused by military operations.

In the first semester of the 2007-2008 school year, only 20% of 16,000 sixth graders in Gaza passed standardized exams in Math, Science, English and Arabic, a study by Gaza's Ministry of Education found.

When Asma saw the result of the exams for which she had spent the year preparing, "I screamed, I cried, I laughed, I could not believe I had done it," she explained.

"She is a dedicated girl, she read all the time amidst a very difficult situation," her father explained, adding that he believed she was so determined to succeed because she wanted "a better future for herself, and a better future for Gaza."

This news was taken from Ma'an News Agency and it was published last Friday, 23rd July 2010.

She's just a girl, hunger for knowledge and education. And she did everything under her means just to study, even choosing to study using the light from her mobile phones when the electrical supply in Gaza was cut.

We have air-conditioners everywhere in the campus, electricity at our disposal, and a peaceful country (insyaAllah)to begin with, what more excuses can we give?

She knows that in any second from now, she might just be killed by the Zionists.
She knows that by walking out of her house to school, she's putting her own life in jeopardy, as Israel planes constantly made a "tour" up in the sky.
But still, she stay put and fought for her future.

And she was the BEST TAWJIHI STUDENT in Gaza.

Where are we when compared to her?

This post serves just as a reminder, for us to be grateful of what we have around us.
And actually, there really are lots of moral values we can pick from this story of a girl named Asma. It's up to us to see them or not. =)

A Short One

Know you (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is the similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the heart of) the tillers; soon it withers; you will see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of God). And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? (57:20)

Last Friday I was in Kuala Kangsar, Perak visiting my foster parents and the alma mater, MCKK for an academic talk with the Form Three students. But that is not what this post is about. It was the Friday preach that caught my attention, and it is highlighted here because err.. I hardly not sleep for it every Friday because well, like many other people too, I believe, it is difficult to stay awake and give attention in the middle of the day, which most likely to be very hot, and after a full-on morning with works and studies, leaving most of the Adam’s species exhausted- unless it is interesting on both the substance and speaker. Again, it is not an excuse. It is a description of human nature, that’s all. Nevertheless, ok, let’s go straight to the point now or Chieko will delete my post =P

Friday it is. A day that starts with letter ‘F.’ The preach by the ustaz (or Imam) touched on 5Fs that are used as formula by the Jewish Zionists in their protocol, to conquer the world. Sounds like an overstatement here, but oh, it is not a prediction, it is already happening. Yes, my friends, it is. They are conquering the world! But only those with an ‘extra’ eye will be able to see or feel it. And ok, cutting this short, the five Fs are Family, Fashion, Fun, Film and Food. Ya beda bedu... Sounds familiar? All the five things mentioned are inseparable with modern life nowadays. Forgive me, I am not going to explain on each of them because that would consume a lot of space, and time, be it of mine (to type) or even yours (to read). But the real reason is this, number one, because I cannot remember all, and number two, because this is the approach I usually use in my writings. I provide the essence, with a hope that it gives a little bit of an insight, if not motivation, for all of us, to do the rest of searching, and more importantly, truth seeking. Good luck!!

As a conclusion (hehe don’t give an F to this essay please), the fun, food, family, film and fashion that we care about today are being used as medium to mislead us from the correct teaching of Islam. The only way to get away from it, or prevent it, is to seek knowledge and ask for His Protection and Guidance, Allah the Almighty God. You know what will make a difference? Avoiding ignorance, and stay awake! Thank you.

Ada satu cerita menarik penuh pengajaran. jom baca :)

"Seorang lelaki tua tinggal di satu kawasan pedalaman yang sering dilanda banjir. Pada suatu hari, banjir melanda secara tetiba dan air naik dengan sangat laju. Jiran terdekat lelaki tua itu berlari ke rumah lelaki tersebut lalu menasihatinya agar berpindah cepat ke tempat yang selamat.tetapi dia berkata, 'Aku berdoa kepada Tuhan agar aku diselamatkan, maka aku akan diselamatkan oleh Allah sendiri....Saudara boleh pergi...'

Setelah sejam, paras air terus meningkat sehingga orang tua itu terpaksa naik ke bumbung untuk menyelamatkan diri. Sekali lagi, seorang penyelamat datang dengan sebuah bot lalu memujuknya untuk naik dan berpindah ke tempat yang selamat. Namun, lelaki tersebut hanya melemparkan suatu senyuman lalu berkata jawapan yang sama.

Memandangkan paras air terus meningkat, maka mati la lelaki itu akibat kelemasan. Setelah mati, lelaki itu bertanya kepada Tuhan mengapa Dia tidak menyelamatkannya. Maka Dia menjawab dengan satu jawapan yang cukup ringkas, tetapi bukannya semua manusia pernah terfikir,

' AKU telah menghantar orang untuk memujukmu agar menyelamatkan dirimu, AKU telah tunjukkan jalan yang benar kepadamu dan AKU menberitahumu akibatnya melalui mulut-mulut utusan-utusanKU. Namun, pernahkah kau memikirkan bahawa AKU telah menghantarmu hikmah-hikmahKU?"

Lelaki itu sedari kesilapan dan kejahilannya, namun sudah terlewat.."

Kita? masih punya ruang, masih punya masa. Setiap masalah (baca: cabaran) yang dihadapi, biasanya ada diilhamkan jalan keluarnya. Cuma kita yang perlu 'bergerak'! Lakukan sesuatu. Perlu berkorban. Bukan hanya mengharap pada keajaiban semata-mata, tanpa usaha.

Islam..semestinya bukan untuk mereka yg hanya berangan-angan...

Kebetulan saya terbaca satu kisah menarik dalam blog seorang sahabat untuk dikongsi bersama.

Pada setiap Jumaat, selepas selesai menunaikan solat Jumaat, seorang Imam dan anaknya yang berumur 7 tahun akan berjalan menyusuri jalan di kota itu dan menyebarkan risalah bertajuk "Jalan-jalan Syurga" dan beberapa karya Islamik yang lain.

Pada satu Jumaat yang indah, pada ketika Imam dan anaknya itu hendak keluar seperti biasa meghulurkan risalah-risalah Islam itu, hari itu menjadi amat dingin dan hujan mulai turun.

Anak kecil itu mula membetulkan jubahnya yang masih kering dan panas dan seraya berkata, "Ayah, saya dah bersedia."

Ayahnya terkejut dan berkata, "Bersedia untuk apa?"

"Ayah, bukankah ini masanya kita akan keluar menyampaikan risalah Allah?"

"Anakku, bukankah sejuk keadaan di luar tu dan hujan juga agak lebat?"

"Ayah, bukankah masih ada manusia yang akan masuk neraka walaupun ketika hujan turun?"

Ayahnya menambah, "Ayah tidak bersedia hendak keluar dalam keadaan cuaca sebegini."

Dengan merintih anaknya merayu, "Benarkan saya pergi ayah?"

Ayahnya berasa agak ragu-ragu namun menyerahkan risalah-risalah itu kepada anaknya, "Pergilah nak dan berhati-hatilah. Allah bersama-sama kamu!"

"Terima kasih Ayah."

Dengan wajah bersinar-sinar anaknya itu pergi meredah hujan dan susuk tubuh kecil itu hilang dalam kelebatan hujan itu.

Anak kecil itu pun menyerahkan risalah-risalah tersebut kepada sesiapa pun yang dijumpainya. Begitu juga dia akan mengetuk setiap rumah dan memberikan risalah itu kepada penghuninya.

Setelah dua jam, hanya tinggal satu saja risalah "Jalan-jalan Syurga" ada pada tangannya. Dia berasakan tanggungjawabnya tidak akan selesai jika masih ada risalah di tangannya. Dia berpusing-pusing ke sana dan ke mari mencari siapa yang akan diserahkan risalah terakhirnya itu namun gagal.

Akhirnya dia ternampak satu rumah yang agak terperosok di jalan itu dan mula mengatur langkah menghampiri rumah itu. Apabila sampai sahaja anak itu di rumah itu, lantas ditekannya loceng rumah itu sekali. Ditunggunya sebentar dan ditekan sekali lagi namun tiada jawapan. Diketuk pula pintu itu namun sekali lagi tiada jawapan. Ada sesuatu yang memegangnya daripada pergi, mungkin rumah inilah harapannya agar risalah ini diserahkan. Dia mengambil keputusan menekan loceng sekali lagi. Akhirnya pintu rumah itu dibuka.

Berdiri di depan pintu adalah seorang perempuan dalam lingkungan 50an. Mukanya suram dan sedih. "Nak, apa yang makcik boleh bantu?"

Wajahnya bersinar-sinar seolah-olah malaikat yang turun dari langit. "Makcik, maaf saya mengganggu, saya hanya ingin menyatakan yang ALLAH amat sayangkan makcik dan sentiasa memelihara makcik. Saya datang ini hanya hendak menyerahkan risalah akhir ini dan makcik adalah orang yang paling bertuah". Dia senyum dan tunduk hormat sebelum melangkah pergi.

"Terima kasih nak dan Tuhan akan melindungi kamu," dalam nada yang lembut.

Minggu berikutnya sebelum waktu solat Jumaat bermula, seperti biasa Imam memberikan ceramahnya. Sebelum selesai dia bertanya, "Ada sesiapa nak menyatakan sesuatu?"

Tiba-tiba sekujur tubuh bangun dengan perlahan dan berdiri. Dia adalah perempuan separuh umur itu. "Saya rasa tiada sesiapa dalam perhimpunan ini yang kenal saya. Saya tak pernah hadir ke majlis ini walaupun sekali. Untuk pengetahuan anda, sebelum Jumaat minggu lepas saya bukan seorang Muslim. Suami saya meninggal beberapa tahun lepas dan meninggalkan saya keseorangan dalam dunia ini." Air mata mulai bergenang di kelopak matanya.

"Pada Jumaat minggu lepas saya mengambil keputusan untuk membunuh diri. Jadi saya ambil kerusi dan tali. Saya letakkan kerusi di atas tangga menghadap anak tangga menuruni. Saya ikat hujung tali di galang atas dan hujung satu lagi diketatkan di leher. Apabila tiba saat saya untuk terjun, tiba-tiba loceng rumah saya berbunyi. Saya tunggu sebentar, pada anggapan saya, siapa pun yang menekan itu akan pergi jika tidak dijawab. Kemudian ia berbunyi lagi. Kemudian saya mendengar ketukan dan loceng ditekan sekali lagi."

"Saya bertanya sekali lagi. Belum pernah pun ada orang yang tekan loceng ini setelah sekian lama. Lantas saya melonggarkan tali di leher dan terus pergi ke pintu."

"Seumur hidup saya belum pernah saya melihat anak yang comel itu. Senyumannya benar-benar ikhlas dan suaranya seperti malaikat." "Makcik, maaf saya mengganggu, saya hanya ingin menyatakan yang ALLAH amat sayangkan makcik dan sentiasa memelihara makcik" itulah kata-kata yang paling indah yang saya dengar."

"Saya melihatnya pergi kembali menyusuri hujan. Saya kemudian menutup pintu dan terus baca risalah itu setiap muka surat. Akhirnya kerusi dan tali yang hampir-hampir menyentap nyawa saya diletakkan semula di tempat asal mereka. Aku tak perlukan itu lagi."

"Lihatlah, sekarang saya sudah menjadi seorang yang bahagia, yang menjadi hamba kepada Tuhan yang satu ALLAH. Di belakang risalah terdapat alamat ini dan itulah sebabnya saya di sini hari ini. Jika tidak disebabkan malaikat kecil yang datang pada hari itu, tentunya roh saya akan berada selama-lamanya di dalam neraka."

Tiada satu pun anak mata di masjid itu yang masih kering. Ramai pula yang berteriak dan bertakbir ALLAHUAKBAR!

Imam lantas turun dengan pantas dari mimbar lantas terus memeluk anaknya yang berada di kaki mimbar dan menangis sesungguh-sungguh hatinya.

Jumaat ini dikira Jumaat yang paling indah dalam hidupnya. Tiada anugerah yang amat besar dari apa yang dia ada pada hari ini. Iaitu anugerah yang sekarang berada di dalam pelukannya. Seorang anak yang seumpama malaikat.

Biarkanlah air mata itu menitis. Air mata itu anugerah ALLAH kepada makhlukNya yang penyayang.

Message to muslim sisters

My dear sisters in Islam, I welcome you all with the best of greetings: As Salamu Alikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatu.

Wallahi my dear sisters in Islam, we should not overlook this blessing that Allah (SWT) has granted us with, this blessing of Islam is and should be the most precious thing in our life. Yes, the most important, Islam should be dearer to you than your own parents, Islam should be dearer to you than your own husband, and Islam should be dearer to you than your own child as this religion will guide you. It will give you success in all aspects of life; it will give you the respect you're looking for, it will give you the honour you're looking for and more importantly it will give you the guidance you need so that you may attain the everlasting bliss from the hereafter. Remember o sisters, remember your role in society, do not be little in your job in society, you are the mothers who look after the family, you are the one who show love and respect to its members, you are the first of the teachers of this Ummah, you are the soothers and carers of the men of this ummah, the success of this ummah lays upon your shoulders o sisters of Islam. Remember khadija, the first wife of prophet Muhammad (SAW), she was one of the greatest women that ever lived. In the early stages of the prophet hood of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAW), she protected him, she gave him finance, she cared for him, she comforted him and most importantly she believed in him. My dear sisters in Islam, as we look around in today's society, we notice that many sisters are being mislead, we notice that more and more sisters are living for this world and not for the hereafter, more and more sisters do not know who Allah (SWT) is, more and more sisters are leaving the prayers, more and more sisters are taking off the hijab and more and more sisters are being seen in nightclubs and pubs, dating men and having a good time. My dear sisters in Islam, we must wake up before it's too late, we must start changing and make Islam our priority in life, we must love Allah (SWT) than anything else in this world, we must stay focused on all this deception that is happening, we must remember the very reason of our existence as Allah (SWT) said in the Quran: I have not created the jinn nor mankind only, so that they worship Me, meaning Allah (SWT), my dear sisters in Islam, if you love diamonds and pearls, do not be deceived by this worldly treasures as the treasure in the hereafter is far greater, look at the sign of dead, as we speak someone dies and they will have eternal lives, will they live in the paradise and enjoys its bliss or will they suffer in the hellfire? And my final quote to you is: will you choose what is best for you or will you lose yourself in this life and in the hereafter.

Please Pray For Them

Assalamualaikum,

By now, I guess everyone should have read the news on the Israeli's attack on the harmless, weaponless humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza. And I'm very sure everyone will feel tremendously disappointed, if not angry with this heart-breaking news. Hence, where do we go from here? The options we have are limited, we can't go there to fight them and our voices are unheard.

But remember, we still have our prayers. Pray hard to Allah, pray hard so that our brothers and sisters in the convoy,in Palestine and the whole world will win. Pray hard for Allah to revive the spirit of wanting to save Palestine in each of our hearts. And pray hard for the muslims, wherever we are in this world, to be awaken from our deep slumber,to come to realise our true purpose of life and to stay on the straight Path.

Alas, prayers go along with efforts. We can't expect to accomplish anything if we do nothing. It's time to live up to our status as muslims and prove to everyone who we really are. Improve our knowledge, strengthen our Iman, and rekindle the spirit of muslim brother(and sister)hood. Lastly, give the best in whatever we do, as that what muslims do.

Have Faith in Allah and in ourselves, insyaALLAH our journey will be easier

Hadith tentang Zaman

Sekadar ingin berkongsi sebuah hadith shahih yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Ahmad dan Baihaqi dari Nuâman bin Basyir dari Hudzaifah..

“Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam bersabda:

Masa kenabian itu ada di tengah-tengah kalian, adanya atas kehendak Allah, kemudian Allah mengangkatnya apabila Dia menghendaki untuk mengangkatnya.

Selanjutnya adalah masa Khilafah yang mengikuti jejak kenabian (Khilafah ’ala minhaj an-nubuwwah) , adanya atas kehendak Allah, kemudian Allah mengangkatnya apabila Dia menghendaki untuk mengangkatnya.

Selanjutnya masa kerajaan yang menggigit (Mulkan ’Adhan), adanya atas kehendak Allah, kemudian Allah mengangkatnya apabila Dia menghendaki untuk mengangkatnya.

Setelah itu, masa kerajaan yang diktator (Mulkan Jabariyyan), adanya atas kehendak Allah, kemudian Allah mengangkatnya apabila Dia menghendaki untuk mengangkatnya.

Selanjutnya adalah masa Khilafah yang mengikuti jejak kenabian (Khilafah ’ala minhaj an-nubuwwah) . Kemudian beliau (Nabi) diam.”

1. Zaman Kenabian

2. Zaman Khilafah ’ala minhaj an-nubuwwah (Khulafa' Ar-Rasyidin)

3. Zaman Mulkan 'Adhan (Khilafah Bani Umayyah- Khilafah Abbasiah- Khilafah Uthmania h)

4. Zaman Mulkan Jabarian (sekarang)

5. Zaman Khilafah ’ala minhaj an-nubuwwah (akan datang)

Translation:

the Messenger of Allah sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam said:

"Prophethood (meaning Muhammad (SAW) himself) will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain, then Allah will raise it up whenever he wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood remaining with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, He will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a reign of violently oppressive [The reign of Muslim kings who are partially unjust] rule and it will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, there will be a reign of tyrannical rule and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, Allah will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Then, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood."

12th PPIM Annual Scientific Meeting

As-Salamua'laykum,

Sahabat IMAM-PPIM Student Chapter yang dikasihi,

Insya-ALLAH, seperti tahun lepas, kita akan sekali lagi mengadakan IMAM-SC Symposium kali ke-2, sempena dengan 12th PPIM Annual Scientific Meeting, pada 18-20 Jun di Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuantan.

Pengisian & aktiviti kali ini dijangka paling menarik berbanding tahun sebelumnya dengan kehadiran speaker yang hebat-hebat. Student Symposium hanya megambil tempat pada Jumaat malam (18 Jun) dan Sabtu pagi (19 Jun). Di waktu lain, Students akan menyertai slot menarik seperti yang ada pada tentatif Annual Scientific Meeting bersama dengan para doctors.

Ambillah peluang untuk hadir pada kali ini, untuk berkenalan dengan Students dari IPT lain dan juga senior doctors yang telah berjaya dalam bidang mereka. Mari kita timba pengalaman & manfaat dari mereka. (Sila lihat tentatif dan brosur yang dilampirkan.)

Kita mengharapkan participants yang ramai kerana kebanyakan local IPT sedang cuti waktu tu. Kita target setiap IPT akan hantar at least 10 wakil. Kita harap students luar negara yang sempat balik awal jangan lepaskan peluang menyertainya. Sila berhubung dengan penganjur (rujuk poster & invitation later) dan confirmkan participation at least seminggu sebelum program. Penganjur telah menghantar surat rasmi kepada Fakulti masing-masing.

Saya mohon maklumat email ini disebarkan ke lokaliti masing-masing. EXCO & Liaison PPIM SC di setiap IPT & luar negara diharapkan dapat respon kepada pengumuman ini.

Akhir sekali, saya sekali lagi menjemput & mengalu-alukan kehadiran semua Sahabat ke Symposium ini. Insya-ALLAH, kita jumpa di sana.

Didn't God mentioned in the Quran, in chapter 57 verse 1

Assalamu'alaikum~

"Korang perasan tak yang korang baca alfatihah tiap2 rakaat dalam solat tak pernah boring?"

Lebih kurang begitulah (seingat saya) pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh Ustaz Ridha dalam talk 'Love is Chenta' hampir sebulan yang lalu.

"Ustaz rasalah, kita tak boring sebab alfatihah tu komunikasi dua hala. Kita tak syok sendiri. Allah jawab setiap ayat yang kita lafazkan. Cuba korang try baca surah-surah lain yang sama tiap2 rakaat, agak2 boring tak?" (almaklum, ayat ni saya reka sendiri ye kawan2..tak ingat exactly apa yang ustaz cakap,tapi inilah intinya~)

"Hmm...macam pernah tau je apa yang ustaz cakap ni."

Neuron-neuron dalam otak saya bekerja keras. Mencari semula input yang pernah bertandang satu ketika dulu.

"Aha!Dalam kuliah maghrib hari tu. Ya betul! Tak salah lagi," saya bermonolog sendirian.

Waktu itu, saya ditemani adik Ina (nama samaran), yang baru saya kenali dalam pertemuan sebelum itu. Sedang dia asyik bermain bermacam-macam 'games' dalam handphone saya sambil bertanyakan cara2nya (yang saya sendiri tak pernah tahu ;P) , saya cuba fokus pada kuliah yang ustaz sampaikan. Subhanallah, kupasan ustaz tentang sepotong hadith qudsi pada malam itu benar-benar membuatkan saya rasa teruja, bahasa pasarnya, excited gilerrr!!!

Berikut ialah hadith tersebut..dah lama sebenarnya nak share dengan kawan2 semua..cuma asyik bertangguh je (jangan tiru sikap buruk ni tau ;P)

Kalian baca sampai habis ye~

Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w. dalam sebuah hadith qudsi:

قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى

Allah Ta’ala berfirman:

Allah had said:

قَسَمْتُ الصَّلاَةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ

“Aku telah membahagi al-Fatihah menjadi dua bahagian, untuk-Ku dan untuk Hamba-Ku. Separuh untuk-Ku dan separuh untuk hamba-Ku dan hamba-Ku akan mendapat bahagian dari permohonan yang diucapkannya.”

"I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, half for Myself and the other half for My servant,and My servant shall have what he has asked for."

فَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

"Bila hamba membaca Alhamdulillahirabbil’alamiin,

"When the servant says Alhamdulillahirabbil’alamiin,

قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي

Allah Ta’ala menyahut 'Hamba- Ku memuji-Ku'.

Allah says 'My servant has praised Me'.

وَإِذَا قَالَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bila hamba membaca Arrahmaanirrahiim,

And when he says Arrahmanirrahim,

قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي

Allah Ta’ala menyahut ‘Hamba-Ku menyanjung-Ku’.

Allah says 'My servant has extolled Me'.

وَإِذَا قَالَ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

dan bila hamba membaca Maliki yawmiddiin,

and when he says Maliki yawmiddin,

قَالَ مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي

dan Allah Ta’ala menyahut, 'Hamba-Ku memuliakan-Ku'.

and Allah says, 'My servant has glorified Me'.

وَقَالَ مَرَّةً فَوَّضَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي

dan ia berfirman di kali lain, 'Hamba-Ku telah berserah diri kepada-Ku'.

and on one occasion He said, ‘My servant has submitted to My power’.

فَإِذَا قَالَ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

Bila hamba membaca Iyyaaka na’budu wa iyyaaka nasta’iin,

When he says Iyyaka na' budu wa iyyaka nasta'iin,

قَالَ هَذَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ

Allah menyahut, ‘Ini bahagian-Ku dan bahagian hamba-Ku akan dapat apa yang dimintanya.’

He says, ‘This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.’

فَإِذَا قَالَ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Bila hamba membaca Ihdinassiraathal mustaqiim,

And when he says: Ihdinassiraathal mustaqiim,

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ

Siraathal ladzina an’amta’alaihim ghairilmaghdhuubi ’alaihim waladhdhaaliin,

قَالَ هَذَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ

Allah menyahut, ‘Itu adalah hak hamba-Ku, dia akan dapat apa yang dimintanya.’"

He says, ‘This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.’"

Cuba kalian gantikan perkataan hamba (servant) tu dengan nama kalian,
macam conversation pasangan kekasih tak?

The 4 Poisons of the HEART:

Ibn al-Mubarak said:

“I have seen wrong actions killing hearts,And their degradation may lead to their becoming addicted to them.Turning away from wrong actions gives life to the hearts,And opposing your self is best for it”

1. Unnecessary Talking

“Do not talk excessively without remembering Allah, because such excessive talk without the mention of Allah causes the heart to harden, and the person furthest from Allah is a person with a hard heart.”

[HR At-Tirmizi]

“What mostly causes people to be sent to the Fire are the two openings: the mouth and the private parts.”

[HR At-Tirmizi]

2. Unrestrained Glances

“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that is more purifying for

them. Surely Allah is aware of what they do.” (24:30)

A righteous man once said:

“Whoever enriches his outward behaviour by following the sunnah, and makes his inward soul wealthy through contemplation, and averts his gaze away from looking at what is forbidden, and avoids anything of a doubtful nature, and feeds solely on what is halal – his inner sight will never falter.”

3. Too Much Food

“The son of Adam fills no vessel more displeasing to Allah than his stomach. A few morsels should be enough for him to preserve his strength. If he must fill it, then he should allow a third for his food, a third for his drink and leave a third empty for easy breathing.”

[HR At-Tirmizi]

Ibrahim ibn Adham said:

“Any one who controls his stomach is in control of his deen, and anyone who controls his hunger is in control of good behaviour. Disobedience towards Allah is nearest to a person who is satiated with a full stomach, and furthest away from a person who is hungry.”

4. Keeping Bad Company

‘Teman yang paling baik adalah apabila kamu melihat wajahnya, kamu teringat akan Allah, mendengar kata-katanya menambahkan ilmu agama, melihat gerak-gerinya teringat mati..’

Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous.

[43:67]

Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).

[5:55]

A righteous man once said,

“How odd, that some people mourn for the one whose body has died, but never mourn for the one whose heart has died and yet the death of the heart is far more serious!”

apa khabar iman?hendaknya sentiasa aman.
kalau sudah ribut,silalah kita damaikan balik ye.sebab kita manusia,maka adalah pasang surutnya.cuma, bila surut, janganlah kita turutkan saja.kan Allah sudah bagi akal?akal yang sepatutnya menghambakan nafsu, bukan berhambakan nafsu.

okeylah,kali ini,sebenarnya ingin mengajak semua menghayati satu gurindam ni. gurindam? apa tu? apa beza ngan pantun? sajak? syair? puisi?
haa..jawapan untuk soalan-soalan tu,silalah cari sendiri ye.internet ni kan,macam-macam ada..kalah astro..

berbalik kepada gurindam,siapa pernah dengar gurindam dua belas?gurindam ni,bait-bait perkataan dia sungguh indah, menawan, lawaaa~~ lagi cantik kalau kita dapat hayati dan amalkan makna tersirat yang ingin disampaikan. semua sekali, dia ada 12 fasal. panjaaang...jadi, saya ambil sedikit je ye,untuk dikongsi bersama.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim~

Mulanya nak berbahasa inggeris...tapi setelah menulis satu ayat, saya rasa nak beralih ke bahasa ibunda dan sedikit bahasa campur ie bahasa rojak...oleh itu, kepada kawan2 yang faham, kalau ada international students yang nak baca, tolong translate ye.

Alhamdulillah, setakat ini, seingat saya, tiga program yang dirancang telah berjalan dengan lancar. Jazakumullahukhairan kathira kepada semua yang telah terlibat secara langsung mahupun tidak langsung dalam menjayakan ketiga-tiga aktiviti Msoc ini. Allah sahaja yang dapat membalas segala jasa kalian. Moga segala usaha yang telah dicurahkan dapat menjadi penambah timbangan amal soleh di akhirat kelak.

MSoc Induction Night for juniors

Walaupun pengambilan junior baru tidak seramai yang sebelum-sebelum ini, alhamdulillah, para senior tak jemu2 menghadirkan diri untuk mengalu-alukan kedatangan 'adik2' di IMU. Special thanks to all who came especially kepada 'kakak2' sem5 yang tiba awal meskipun kalian sudah di semester akhir.

Aturcara majlis sangat simple dan seperti biasa. Nothing special. Namun itu yang membuatkan saya kagum dengan bilangan hadirin yang saya kira memuaskan. Masing-masing mampu menceriakan suasana dan saling membantu. 'Adik2' tidak kurang sportingnya tatkala diminta menampilkan diri dan memberikan jawapan kepada soalan yang diajukan walaupun hakikatnya soalan sangat biasa2. Teringat saya akan firman Allah dalam surah al-Anfal, ayat 63:

"Dan Dia Allah yang mempersatukan hati mereka (orang yang beriman). Walaupun kamu menginfakkan semua (kekayaan) yang berada di bumi, nescaya kamu tidak dapat mempersatukan hati mereka, tetapi Allah telah mempersatukan hati mereka. Sungguh, Dia Maha Perkasa, Maha Bijaksana."

Nah, mungkin ini jawapannya. Allah yang telah mempersatukan hati-hati kita, justeru masing2 masih sudi memberikan sokongan kepada program2 MSoc. Alhamdulillah, terima kasih ye 'adik2', 'kakak2', 'abang2' dan kawan2 kerana memberi kerjasama. Semoga MSoc dapat meningkatkan kualiti induction night pada masa akan datang.

Muslimah Night

Subhanallah, bertemakan 'floral spring', the night was indeed colourful! Walau secara luarannya, yang dapat dijangkakan hanyalah keseronokan berhibur, namun banyak nasihat2 yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung. Saya amat yakin bahawa latihan2 yang dijalankan mengambil masa dan tenaga para sahabiah namun masing2 tetap gigih supaya dapat menampilkan persembahan terbaik. Persediaan rapi hanya dalam jangka masa kurang dari dua minggu oleh pihak penganjur juga sangat2 saya kagumi. Tak lupa kepada pengacara2 majlis yang begitu cemerlang dalam mengendalikan aturcara pada malam penuh warna-warni itu. Tahniah dan setinggi2 syukur saya lafazkan padaNya.

Setiap persembahan dianugerahkan title 'comel' tersendiri bersama hadiah iringan berupa hamper makanan dan minuman. Sistem penghakiman adalah berdasarkan undian penonton yang rata-rata sangat sporting pada malam itu. Setakat ini sahaja untuk muslimah night, maaf ye kawan2, tak banyak perkara yang dapat saya kongsikan di sini kerana program tersebut dikhususkan buat pihak muslimat. The night supposed to remain secret among us, girls =). So, muslimin of IMU, apa lagi, time for you all to conduct an event exclusively only for XY! ;P

Amazing Craze

Sejujurnya, saya sangat2 terkejut apabila dimaklumkan tentang penganjuran aktviti ini secara besar2an. Tak sangka saya yang PDnya begitu bersemangat. Tahniah kepada semua yang terlibat. Kalian memang gempak! Sangat cemburu melihat gambar2 kalian di seluruh Kuala Lumpur. I bet you all really enjoyed the whole day!

Secara ringkas, menurut sedikit pengetahuan saya, program ini merupakan joint venture SRC dan MSoc bersempena IMU Earth Week 2010. Dengan menawarkan hadiah2 menarik, ramai yang mendaftarkan diri hingga ada reserve team yang tak dapat menyertai pertandingan memandangkan hanya 20 team (2 per team) sahaja diperlukan. Program hebat bertemakan tagline 'Vote Earth' ini menerima tajaan Ajinomoto, Carrefour dan Sunquick. Baju rekaan tuan designer ditempah dalam dua warna; jingga untuk station masters, pengacara dan committee members serta hijau untuk peserta.

Setelah menyelesaikan pelbagai tugasan, tempat pertama akhirnya dimenangi oleh dua orang 'gentleman' dari batch M208, tempat kedua memihak kepada dua orang gadis ceria dari batch M209 dan tempat ketiga menjadi milik dua orang sahabat baik dari batch M109. Congratulations people! Kepada yang kurang berjaya, cuba lagi next time ye!;P

Last but not least, thumbs up to all who have contributed in making all those events a success!!!may Allah bless our effort. Semoga kawan2 dapat terus menyokong aktiviti2 MSoc pada masa hadapan.

satu, bila orang tanya "Islam tu apa?", kita tahu cemane nak bagi jawapan yg jauh lebih baik & berguna daripada "Islam tu solat 5 kali sehari, kena puasa sebulan, tak boleh minum, tak boleh makan bak kut teh, pompuan kena tutup kepala, laki boleh kawin 4,bla..bla..bla.." (jawapan yg penuh dengan do's & don'ts,menampakkan macam Islam ni menyusahkan..)

dua, kita akan rasa sangat beruntung punya iman dan Islam.

tiga, kita takkan dengan yakinnya mengatakan yang setiap orang bukan islam tu kafir.

empat, kita akan rasa best dengar speaker2 yg mantap ni bagi talk, antaranya Shah Kirit.

lima, kita akan rasa sangat berbaloi bayar RM100.

enam,kita akan rasai 2 hari hujung minggu yang betul2 bermanfaat dan 'ada isi', berbanding weekends lain yang biasanya penuh dengan aktiviti yang...err,lagha.

Saudara-saudaraku sekalian, sekali lagi kita telah bertemu dengan hari penuh bersejarah, Maulidurrasul Muhammad s.a.w. Insan yang seharusnya berada di tempat pertama dalam hati kita, bukan sweetheart, hubby, sayang atau darling tanpa ikatan yang sah.

Insan bergelar Rasulullah s.a.w. inilah yang telah memberi peluang untuk kita beroleh ni’mat terbesar hidup ya’ni, ni’mat Iman dan Islam. Dialah kekasih sebenar setiap umat Islam, pembawa rahmat ke seluruh alam. Kata-kata Baginda merupakan janji yang terbukti kebenaranNya. Bukan sekadar perhatian sementara, omongan kosong mahupun janji-janji manis antara pasangan kekasih yang tiada jaminan.

Bayangkan wahai saudara-saudaraku sekalian, jikalau Allah tidak mengirimkan baginda buat kita, adakah kita sekarang bergelar seorang muslim? Adakah kita berpeluang mengenal Allah ‘azza wa jalla, Pencipta seluruh alam? Tahukah kita bagaimana cara sebenar mengabdikan diri kepadaNya?

Jasa Rasulullah s.a.w. tak mungkin kita mampu balas. Baginda masih mampu meninggalkan pesanan-pesanan berguna buat kita ummat Baginda tatkala kakinya sudah kedinginan, tubuhnya sudah membeku dan bibirnya sudah membiru di akhir hayat baginda. Betapa baginda selalu memikirkan kita sebagai ummatnya, namun kita sebagai ummatnya, jarang-jarang sekali memikirkan baginda.

Justeru itu wahai saudara seIslamku, marilah kita mempelajari sirah hidup Baginda, mengikuti sunnah-sunnah sebenar baginda dan sama-sama memperbanyakkan selawat buat Baginda.

Dari Abu Darda’ r.a. berkata, Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda,

“Barangsiapa membaca selawat kepadaku sepuluh kali pada waktu pagi dan sepuluh kali pada waktu petang, maka dia akan memperoleh syafaatku pada Hari Qiamat.”

(Hadith Riwayat Thabrani)

Semoga dengan basahnya lidah kita dan suburnya hati kita dengan mengingati Baginda, Allah kurniakan keberkatan hidup di dunia dan syafaat di akhirat yang kekal abadi.

Maybe I’m wrong. Muslims are ahead of the others in scientific discoveries and developing new technologies. Maybe I’m delusional. Muslims do make use of their eyes to read useful materials, and brains to comprehend and apply knowledge towards making this world a better place. Maybe I’m alone, in thinking that Muslims nowadays are passive, unthankful lot, who loves to do nothing but complain, blame others, fight with each other and hope for God’s grace just because ‘believe’ is what their mouths say five times a day.

"Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested?" [29:2]

Maybe Muslims are not just consumers of technologies developed by ‘non-Muslims’ but also thinkers, researchers and manufacturers themselves. Let's think about our hand phone (with Wifi and GPS), computer (and the fantastic softwares), internet (with Google and emedicine), cars (and buses, LRT, lorries etc), ATM machine, atenolol (metformin and other fantastic drugs) etc. Do these things just fall from the sky, or do human beings need to have a curious mind to ponder on what’s best to make use of the resources that we have around - the gravity, raw materials etc?

Yes, there once lived Ibn Sina, Ibn Khaldun, Al-Khawarizmi and friends. But these highly respected scholars are … well, no more in sight. So now let’s do our part. Shall we?

Israel's Right or Not To Exist - The Facts and Truth

On Monday 12 October, Prime Minister Netanyahu opened the Knesset’s winter session by blasting the Goldstone Report that accuses Israel of committing war crimes and vowing that he would never allow Israelis be tried for them. But that was not his main message. It was an appeal, delivered I thought with a measure of desperation, to the “Palestinian leadership”, presumably the leadership of “President” Abbas and his Fatah cronies, leaders who are regarded by very many if not most Palestinians as American-and-Israeli stooges at best and traitors at worst.

Netanyahu again called on this leadership to agree to recognise Israel as a Jewish state, saying this was, and remains, the key to peace. And he went on and on and on about it.

“For 62 years the Palestinians have been saying ‘No’ to the Jewish state. I am once again calling upon our Palestinian neighbours – say ‘Yes’ to the Jewish state. Without recognition of the Israel as the state of the Jews we shall not be able to attain peace… Such recognition is a step which requires courage and the Palestinian leadership should tell its people the truth – that without this recognition there can be no peace… There is no alternative to Palestinian leaders showing courage by recognising the Jewish state. This has been and remains the true key to peace.”

As Ha’aretz noted in its report, Netanyahu’s demand for Palestinian acceptance of Israel as a Jewish state is for him “a way on ensuring recognition of Israel’s right to exist as opposed to merely recognising Israel” (my emphasis). This, as Ha’aretz added, is the recognition which Netanyahu and many other Israelis see as the real core of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In the name of pragmatism, willingness to “merely to recognise” Israel – meaning to accept and live in peace with an Israel inside its pre-June ‘67 borders – has long been the formal Palestinian and all-Arab position. Why does it stop short of recognising Israel’s “right to exist”, and why, really, does it matter so much to Zionism that Palestinians recognise this right?

The answer is in the following.

According to history as written by the winner, Zionism, Israel was given its birth certificate and thus legitimacy by the UN Partition Resolution of 29 November 1947. This is propaganda nonsense.

In the first place the UN without the consent of the majority of the people of Palestine did not have the right to decide to partition Palestine or assign any part of its territory to a minority of alien immigrants in order for them to establish a state of their own.
Despite that, by the narrowest of margins, and only after a rigged vote, the UN General Assembly did pass a resolution to partition Palestine and create two states, one Arab, one Jewish, with Jerusalem not part of either. But the General Assembly resolution was only a proposal – meaning that it could have no effect, would not become policy, unless approved by the Security Council.
The truth is that the General Assembly’s partition proposal never went to the Security Council for consideration. Why not? Because the U.S. knew that, if approved, it could only be implemented by force given the extent of Arab and other Muslim opposition to it; and President Truman was not prepared to use force to partition Palestine.
So the partition plan was vitiated (became invalid) and the question of what the hell to do about Palestine – after Britain had made a mess of it and walked away, effectively surrendering to Zionist terrorism – was taken back to the General Assembly for more discussion. The option favoured and proposed by the U.S. was temporary UN Trusteeship. It was while the General Assembly was debating what do that Israel unilaterally declared itself to be in existence – actually in defiance of the will of the organised international community, including the Truman administration.

The truth of the time was that the Zionist state, which came into being mainly as a consequence of pre-planned ethnic cleansing, had no right to exist and, more to the point, could have no right to exist UNLESS … Unless it was recognised and legitimized by those who were dispossessed of their land and their rights during the creation of the Zionist state. In international law only the Palestinians could give Israel the legitimacy it craved.

And that legitimacy was the only thing the Zionists could not and cannot take from the Palestinians by force.

No wonder Prime Minister Netanyahu is more than a little concerned on this account.

Israel’s leaders have always known the truth summarised above. It’s time for the rest of the world to know it.

Ingat..Babi,anjing,bukan haiwan hina!

Assalamu’alaikum semua. Iman, taqwa, apa khabar? Harap-harapnya sihat segar belaka =)

Di sini ada 2 artikel tentang hukum khinzir yang ingin saya kongsi dengan kalian. Diingatkan, artikel ini bukan untuk menjadi bahan debat, diulangi…bukan untuk debat!(baca : bergaduh. Kalau nak bincang secara berhikmah apa salahnya..) Bukan juga untuk menyesatkan, memesong akidah lagi ler bukan…

Cuma..untuk kita semua sedar, Islam ni jauh lebih luas dari apa yang kita sangka. Orang Islam, bukan hanya melayu Malaysia je. Banyak lagi kat serata ceruk Bumi…Kita semua, dengan izin Allah, bakal melangkah lebih jauh, bukan? Akan berdepan dengan pelbagai masyarakat, budaya, manusia. Katakanlah bila dah melangkah jauh tu, kita terjumpa saudara seagama, tapi..”amalannya nape pelik sangat? Yang perempuan solat nampak kaki, dukung anak pulak tu. Kat rumah bela anjing. Haisy..ajaran sesat ke diorang ni..”

Moga-moga, bila terjumpa saudara-saudara se-Islam yang lain benar amalannya, kita ingat dan sedar bahawa
kita semua masih berpegang pada tunjang akidah yang sama; Tiada Tuhan selain Allah, Muhammad pesuruh Allah. Walau perbezaan sejauh langit dan bumi, itu bukan alasan untuk saling curiga, apa lagi bermusuh dan bergaduh. Yang untung nanti, ‘mereka’ jugak…’mereka’ yang tak habis-habis nak buat kita bergaduh tu..

Ingat..daging babi tu najis. Tapi babi bukan haiwan hina! Anjing, mungkin najis. Tapi anjing bukan haiwan hina! Sekurang-kurangnya, zikrullah mereka lebih hebat daripada saya, juga kebanyakan kita..

Doktrin babi yang menyusahkan umat islam

Umat islam melalui para mujtahidinnya telah berijmak bahawa daging babi adalah haram untuk dimakan seperti yang telah dikatakan oleh Ibn Mundhir dalam bukunya "Kitab al-Ijma’" (Lihat : al-Husni, Kifayatul Ahyar, Beirut : Dar al-Khayr, m.s. 70). Ini berdasarkan firman Allah S.W.T dalam al-Quran, (surah al-An'am : ayat 145) . Ayat tersebut dengan jelas menunjukkan bahawa daging babi adalah haram untuk dimakan. Para ulama juga telah bersepakat bahawa anggota lain dari babi seperti tulang, kulit, lemak dan juga darahnya adalah haram untuk dimakan. Hanya Ibn Hazm al-Zahiri sahaja yang mengatakan anggota selain daging babi adalah halal dimakan. Pendapat ini walaubagaimanapun adalah pendapat yang syadh (ganjil) dan tidak diterima oleh jumhur (majoriti) umat islam.

Para ulama islam juga bersepakat tentang kenajisan daging babi dan juga segala yang bersumberkan babi. Walaubagaimanapun mereka berselisih pendapat dalam tiga perkara, yang pertama dalam kategori najis apakah ia najis mughallazah ataupun mutawasitah. Yang keduanya, cara bagaimanakah untuk menyucikannya, dan ini bergantung kepada kategori manakah ianya dianggap sebagai najis. Yang ketiga , mereka juga berkhilaf samada kulit babi, rambutnya dan juga tulangnya dan mana – mana bahagiannya adakah boleh digunakan setelah disucikan melalui proses dibagh (samak dengan air kapur).

Jumhur ulama berpendapat ianya tegolong dalam najis mutawasitah yang hanya memerlukan basuhan sekali sahaja jika tersentuh dengannya. Ianya sama seperti kenajisan darah, luka, nanah, tahi dan juga kencing. Bagi Imam al-Syafie pula, beliau berpendapat bahawa ianya adalah najis mughallazah yang sama sifat kenajisannya dengan anjing yang memerlukan tujuh kali basuhan, dan sekali basuhan dengan air tanah (al-Sya'rani, al-Mizan al-Kubra, Beirut : Dar al-Kutub al-'Ilmiah, Cetakan Pertama, 1998M, jil. 1, m.s. 138).Pendapat inilah yang menjadi pegangan majoriti pengikut mazhab Syafie, kecuali Imam al-Nawawi dan juga yang bersependapat dengan al-Nawawi (al-Nawawi, al-Majmu', Beirut : Dar Ihya al-Turath al-Arabi, jil. 4, m.s. 604).

Mengenai isu penggunaannya pula, jumhur ulama melarang pengunaannya samada sebagai perhiasan, beg, kasut, pakaian dan sebagainya kerana ianya adalah najis (walaupun mutawasitah) . Bagi sebilangan ulama Malikiyyah, Abu Daud al-Zahiri dan juga al-Syawkani, mereka melihat tidak ada kesalahannya untuk menggunakannya jika ianya telah melalui proses dibagh (ibid).

Yang menjadi pokok perbincangan di sini ialah mengenai kenajisannya dan juga cara menyucikannya yang menjadi satu bebanan kepada umat islam di Malaysia dan juga dalam sesetengah keadaan menjadi benteng pemisah selamanya antara kaum di Malaysia.

Doktrin yang membebankan ini sebenarnya hanyalah ijtihad Imam Syafie yang mengqiyaskan kenajisan babi dengan kenajisan anjing dengan kaedah "qiyas awla"nya (al-Syafie, Kitab al-Umm, Beirut : Dar Marifah, 1393H, jil. 1, m.s. 9). Logiknya menurut beliau, jika anjing yang tidak disebut pengharamannya secara jelas di dalam al-Quran wajib disucikan kenajisannya dengan cara samak (tujuh kali basuhan dengan basuhan pertamanya menggunakan tanah berdasarkan hadith riwayat Abu Hurairah yang direkodkan sahih oleh Muslim di dalam kitabnya al-Jami' al-Sahih atau sahih Muslim, Beirut : Dar Ihya al-Turath al-Arabi, jil. 1 m.s. 161), maka babi yang telah diharamkan secara jelas di dalam al-Quran lebih utama untuk disucikan kenajisannya dengan cara tersebut.

Atas dasar inilah majoriti pengikut mazhab Syafie sehingga ke hari ini menganggap kenajisan babi adalah sama atau lebih berat dari kenajisan anjing.
Bagi jumhur (majoriti) umat islam pula hadith Abu Hurairah yang berkaitan dengan cara menyucikan kenajisan anjing jika anjing adalah semata - mata untuk anjing dan bukan untuk selainnya. Menurut mereka pengharaman daging babi (surah al-Maidah (5): 5) adalah berkaitan dengan persoalan makan dan tiada kena mengena dengan cara menyucikannya. Tambahan pula dalam ayat tersebut bukan hanya daging babi yang diharamkan, bangkai dan juga darah disebutkan bersama dengannya. Mengapa qiyas yang sama tidak digunakan untuk menggolongkan darah dan bangkai bersama anjing dan babi sebagai najis mughallazah ?

Yang lebih menarik lagi Abu Hurairah juga telah meriwayatkan hadith yang menunjukkan cara menyucikan bijana yang dijilat kucing dengan 3 kali basuhan. Mengapa tidak kucing pun digolongkan dalam najis mughallazah juga?
Kesimpulannya ijtihad ataupun pendapat Imam Syafie dalam persoalan cara menyucikan najis babi adalah tidak kuat dan tidak konsisten. Terdapat juga di kalangan imam mujtahid dalam mazhab Syafie yang menyangkal pendapat beliau dan bertegas menyatakan bahawa cara penyucian kenajisan babi adalah cukup sekadar basuhan sahaja seperti najis - najis mutawasitah yang lain (kencing, tahi, darah dan bangkai). Antara yang terkenal dengan pendapat sedemikian ialah Imam al- Nawawi (lihat : al-Nawawi,opcit, jil. 4, m.s. 604 ). Pendapat beliau ini adalah sama seperti pendapat majoriti umat islam dan amat bertepatan dengan dalil.

Sayangnya sebilangan besar pengikut mazhab Syafie termasuklah majoriti umat islam di Malaysia amat berpegang kuat dengan pendapat ini. Dalam keadaan kehidupan bersama rakyat berbilang bangsa dan juga dalam keadaan musafir ke negara di mana umat islam adalah minoriti doktrin ini amat membebankan umat islam. Tidak keterlaluan jika dikatakan bahawa ianya akan semakin menjauhkan bukan islam dari islam, malah di kalangan umat islam sendiri pun akan jauh dari islam kerana doktrin ini.

Sebagai contoh yang amat melucukan ialah bagaimana sebuah restoran milik bukan islam yang telah dibeli oleh seorang peniaga muslim sekitar tahun 90'an di Pahang. Majalah al-Islam telah merakamkan bagaimana mereka telah membasuh seluruh kedai tersebut dengan air tanah. Bayangkan bagaimana jika seseorang muslim membeli rumah pangsa atau kondominium dari seorang bukan islam ?, bagaimanakah dia ingin membasuhnya dengan air tanah , bayangkan lagi jika rumah tersebut di tingkat 30 ...pastinya pihak pengurusan kondominium tersebut akan mengamuk dan seluruh kondominium akan banjir!!

Antara yang menjadi bebanan juga ialah keadaan saudara baru yang masih tinggal dengan keluarganya. Sering kita dengar suara - suara sumbang yang menyuruh saudara - saudara baru untuk meninggalkan keluarga mereka. Mana tidaknya, doktrin babi ini mengatakan mereka tidak boleh makan di rumah kerana pinggan mangkuknya ada najis dan mesti disamak. Rumahnya ada kesan babi, maka dia tidak boleh bersolat di dalamnya, emaknya dan bapanya makan babi, maka dia tidak boleh bersalaman apatah lagi mencium dan memeluk mereka. Bekas minum tidak boleh digunakan lagi kerana ada kesan babi, pendek kata jika seseorang itu masuk islam bukan hanya agama dan akidah lamanya sahaja, malah dia terpaksa atau dipaksa untuk meninggalkan keluarga, rumah, saudara mara dan jika tidak keterlaluan ibu bapa mereka. Maka terjawablah persoalan mengapa tidak ramai orang bukan islam ingin memeluk islam!

Contoh yang lebih teruk lagi jika golongan yang mendokong doktrin babi ini ke negara majoriti bukan islam yang kuat makan babi seperti Jepun, Korea, Taiwan, Jerman dan negara - negara seumpamanya. Yang pasti mereka tidak akan boleh duduk di kantin, mereka tidak boleh makan di kedai - kedai makan walaupun mereka tidak memakan babi, mereka tidak boleh tinggal di rumah sewa kecuali selepas disamak, mereka tidak boleh menziarahi rakan - rakan mereka yang bukan muslim dan akhirnya mereka hanya akan menjauhkan manusia - manusia lain dari islam itu sendiri. Relevan lagikah ijtihad al-Syafie yang semata - mata merupakan pandangan peribadinya sahaja yang boleh jadi salah ?

Persoalan ini memerlukan jawapan segera terutamanya dari kalangan ustaz - ustaz generasi baru yang telah terdedah kepada pembelajaran "Fiqh Muqarin" dan berfikiran terbuka. Penyelesaian segera demi menyelamatkan umat islam di Malaysia dari terus dibebani dan disusahkan dengan doktrin babi ini.

Tapi, tak salah untuk meminta si dentist agar memberi penerangan mengenai sakit dan rawatan tu. Atau kalau kita ni terlebih rajin nak buat research sendiri pun ok jugak,cuma jangan lupa rujuk balik kat si dentist, takut-takut nanti info yang kita dapat tu entah dari mana, pemahaman kita salah, gigi kita bermasalah, kita jugak yang susah..

Kali ni saya nak tulis pasal sikap saya (dan mungkin juga sikap anda =p) yang kita sendiri buat tapi lupa..
sikap mensyukuri nikmat ALLAH..

Ok, kita mmg selalu dikurniakan dgn segala macam nikmat DIA kan?

kita sedar tak?
"eh, mestilah sedaq..takkan la tak nampak.ni ha, kaki tgn mulut muka, bukan ni nikmat ALLAH ka?"

kita mensyukuri tak?
"eh, apa ni tanya soalan yg ada jawapan.mestilah mensyukuri..sgt2 mensyukuri.tak tergambar rasa syukur tu..lautan china selatan pun tak dpt melambangkan luasnya rasa syukurku pada ALLAH.."

macammana kita gunakan nikmat tu sbg tanda syukur?

Ya, ini adalah dialog sebenar antara jasad dan hati saya..
kononnya mensyukuri tapi apa yg saya buat utk menzahirkan rasa syukur tu??
nikmat mata, digunakan utk lihat benda yg tak berfaedah..
nikmat mulut, digunakan utk bergosip..
nikmat kaki, digunakan utk ke tmpt yg melalaikan..
nikmat sihat, digunakan utk mensia-siakan masa lapang..
nikmat masa lapang, digunakan utk berfoya-foya..
nikmat lulus exam, digunakan dgn enjoy-enjoy la dulu sebelum masuk sem baru..
nikmat beribu bapa, digunakan utk menyakiti hati mereka..
nikmat ada sahabat, digunakan utk mengajak sahabat bersama-sama berlagha..
nikmat yg paling terbesar ni pulak bukan saja digunakan sikit-sikit tapi kadang-kadang langsung tak digunakan iaitu nikmat IMAN!

Percaya atau tidak, nikmat ni SEMUA hanya akan kita hargai dan benar-benar kita syukuri bila kita kehilangannya..
tak percaya??

baiklah, mari sini amna jelaskan secara ringkas.

kata kerja : kata yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan sesuatu perbuatan.
kata nama : kata yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan nama sesuatu benda

well said.
amna tahu lah yang kita semua dah lama tinggalkan bangku sekolah, tapi amna yakin semua orang masih ingat apa itu kata nama dan kata kerja. inyaAllah.

sekarang, amna utarakan dua ayat ringkas., berserta dengan maksudnya.

saya makan : kata kerja yg menunjukkan kita makan.

saya Makan : kata nama yg menunjukkan "nama saya Makan."

anda dapat lihat apa beza antara pernyataan pertama dan kedua?

yang pertama itu, menunjukkan perbuatan makan.
yang keduanya pula, menunjukkan nama orang itu Makan.

Together we learn about each other~

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh~

A post dedicated for myself and every Muslim~

Have we ever asked ourselves why we are a Muslim?

Or have we ever been prompted by anyone with the same question before?

Just ask ourselves, "Am I one who truly believe in Islam, hence choose to be a Muslim or am I just a Muslim because I am born as one?”

Why do we think that Islam is the true way of life whereas other religions are not? Have we ever tried to learn about other religion before or do we simply assume that others pray to statues and that is the reason why they are wrong?

Try to find some info about other religions from our non-Muslim friends and we would somehow realised that we have totally misunderstood their beliefs. Some of them are actually, really searching for their Purpose of Life and the True Lord but what they believe at present is the best and the most logical idea that they have ever been thought and exposed on.

Talk to them further and try to ask them what they know about Islam and we would be even more surprised to realise that there are a lot of misconceptions about Islam in their minds. Some label Muslims as TERRORISTS, some understand Islam as a religion that provides LESS or even worse NO RIGHTS FOR WOMEN, some only relate Islam with CIRCUMCISSION and some only know that Islam is all about ‘NO ALCOHOL and NO PORK' are allowed to be consumed’, which they think is ridiculous. They know a bit here and ther about Islam, some are true and some are not and everything are just not glued together.

Friends, are these not viruses that might silently build up hatred between Muslims and people of other religion? Who is to be blamed about

this matter?

“ …Say: “Are those equal, those who know and those who don’t know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.”

Surah Az-Zumar (39), verse 9

We as Muslims are the ones who know and the non-Muslims are the ones who don’t know about Islam. Shouldn’t those who know clarify the misconceptions?

In contrast, we simply claimed the non-Muslims as the STUPIDOS and blamed them for praying to statues which couldn’t even feed themselves but at the same time, we have never study their beliefs and we have never tried to clearly convey the truth about Islam to them. The non-Muslims, in a similar way might thought that we pray to the Ka’bah as we need to face the Ka’bah to perform our solah.

Problems, misconceptions and misunderstandings keep on arising as we have put in almost zero effort in knowing each other. We tend to ASSUME and DISAGREE.
Indeed there are differences between each religion basically in faith, but there are actually a lot of similarities between Islam and Christianity, Islam and Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism and also between Islam and other religions. The main problem is that we only focus on the differences without figuring out the similarities because WE DON’T GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER’S BELIEFS!!!

Didn’t Allah S.W.T. mention in the Quran that

He created us to be in different races so that we should get to know each other?
“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well-acquainted.”
Surah Al Hujurat (49), verse 13
it’s an obligation for us to share the Truth with everyone?
“By (the Token of) Time (through the Ages), Verily Man is in loss, EXCEPT such as have faith AND do righteous deeds, AND (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, AND of Patience and Constancy.”
Surah Al ‘Asr (103), verse 1-3
it’s a must for us to invite people of various ways to the Only one straight path to the Only One God with wisdom?“Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive His guidance."Surah An-Nahl (16), verse 125

My dearest friends, Allah doesn’t only want us to get to know others in terms of personal and family details but also about their faith.

Why? So that we could compare and contrast in order for us, Muslims to be really strong in our faith and deliver the message of Tauhid, Syahadatain and Islam (the most righteous deed that one may carry out) in the simplest and most understandable way that our non-Muslims friends could understand. Sometimes, LESS CAN BE MORE. But to create less which is more, we need to LEARN from others who know more.

So, to all my beloved brothers and sisters in Islam, we might feel safe to be a Muslim at present because we know that we are on the right path as Allah Himself has mentioned,

“…This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”

Surah Al Maidah (5), verse 3

But is it fair for our non-Muslim friends that we tend to keep the true way of life to ourselves? Is it right for us to sit back, relax and have no urge to share the beautiful path with them? Aren’t we actually being STINGYwithout even realizing that we are doing so?

Let us all learn to share because we gain more by sharing. If we do share for example, our medical and pharmaceutical knowledge with our other coursemates, why shouldn't we share the most important knowledge in our life with them? Our responsibility is to deliver the message of Truth, but remember, the One who Guides (aka yang memberi hidayah) is only Allah.

“Whom God doth guide, - he is on the right path: whom He rejects from His Guidance, - such are the persons who perish.”
“To such as God rejects from His Guidance, there can be no guide. He will leave them in their trespasses, wandering in distraction."

Surah Al A’raf (7), verse 178 and 186

So, what are you waiting for people? Let’s DO OUR WORK!!!He is always observing~

“And say: “Work (righteousness): soon will God observe your work, and His Messenger, and the believers: soon will ye be brought back to the Knower of what is hidden and what is open: then He show you the truth of all that ye did.” ”

Surah At-Taubah (9), verse 105

However, if those people reject and turn away after we have CLEARLY conveyed to them the message of Truth WITH WISDOM, remember that Allah is the Only God and we only Rely on Him.

“But if they turn away, Say: “God sufficeth me: there is no god but He: on Him is my trust, - He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!” ”

Surah At-Taubah (9), verse 129

Always keep in mind that while we are thinking about others, while we are busy sharing, should we also not forget to pray to Allah for His Guidance throughout our life, because we never know who we are tomorrow.

“ “Our Lord!” (they say), “let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.” "

Surah al-Imran (3), verse 9

Presenting: The Muslim Society (MSOC) of International Medical University’s Blog

Assalamualaikumwarahmatullahiwabarakatuh.

Finally, after many many months of construction, rebuilding, editing, abandoning, adding, shifting and throwing off this and that, the blog is back. For big fans of the blog, this must surely be good news to all of you.

But for those who do not know of this blog, a simple answer to the question in your mind is – yes, the blog exists. (^_^)

Surely by now you’ve noticed several obvious changes made to the new blog. The greetings, the asma’ul husna, the Islamic calendar, the digital clock, even some words of wisdom for the day.

However, this new edition of msocimu.blogspot.com not only comes with a new look, but also with a defined new motive. From now on, the blog readily serves as a communication medium for all Muslim students of IMU. Here, we encourage students from various different batches to interact with each other by sharing as much knowledge, experiences, thoughts and opinions as possible.

To make it easier for everyone, the blog is separated into a number of LABELS (categories). You are most welcomed to contribute in either which that best suits your time and preferences:

1. General Announcements

You can post any important announcements here, be it a message, or an upcoming activity, or a talk, or just about anything you wish to inform everyone else.
(Birthday wishes are not really encouraged though, because if that’s the case then we’ll have hundreds of ‘important announcements’ throughout the whole year. heh).

2. Articles

Have flair in writing? Why not join us by sharing with us one of your amazing pieces. Remember, it doesn’t have to be lengthy, or formal, and there aren’t any specific topics. You have absolute freedom in whatever you wish to write. As long as the article benefits others, it will nevertheless be very much worth reading. However, writings that are considered inappropriate will be deleted by moderators of the blog.

3. Seniors’ Advices (IMU Bukit Jalil)

Juniors: “Oh god. Exams. Oh no.”

Ok, here’s the thing. Seniors, write whatever you wish to tell the hopeful juniors when it’s still fresh in your mind. Tips for exams, careless but common mistakes not to be repeated, important details to be memorised, you can write them all here. (Dont wait for them to ask, most of the time, they don’t know what to ask)

And juniors, this is your chance, ask whatever you want to ask – Summatives, OSPE, OSCE, EOS, CSU, notes - before it’s too late.

4. Seniors’ Advices (PMS)

At some point of time, we wonder, what’s next after IMU? But there’s no one to ask. Here, we humbly ask for assistance, advices or some sharing of experiencing from seniors who’re studying abroad in Partner Medical Schools. Any piece of information is utterly valuable and very much appreciated. Since we haven’t been able to contact most of the seniors from the upper batches, the honour goes to seniors from medt107 and m207 who are scheduled to further their studies abroad this year. We would also ask for you to spread the word to any of the seniors from the upper batches to help participate and become an author for this category of the blog. As a representative of MSOC, I’d thank you in advance for your kind help.

5. Seniors’ Advices (IMU Seremban)

Please read no.4. However, this category is specifically reserved for seniors in IMU Seremban. We look forward for their kind cooperation too.

6. Photos

A category for photographers, people with cameras or even just picture lovers. However, there are some rules to be followed:

Creating MSOC Logo/Icon.

Assalamualaikum,

The Multimedia and publicity bureau has been given a task to create a simple MSOC Logo/Icon. Unfortunately, the progress is quite slow and we don't have proper experience in creating one. I hereby inviting other people to try and create one or give ideas how the logo's going to be.

Any idea or created logo/icon can be e-mail to me at : jyu_bonk@yahoo.com

I have couple of ideas, given by the committee but just to play it safe, I'm going to consider the ideas from all brothers and sisters.Hopefully the Multimedia and Publicity Bureau can finish this task A.S.A.P.

Who is Syeikh Ahmad Yasin?

Syeikh Ahmad Yasin is the founder of HAMAS (Islamic Resistance Movement) based in Gaza. HAMAS main agenda is to liberate the whole Palestine from the occupation of the Zionists. Syeikh Ahmad Yasin was assassinated cruelly on 22nd March 2004 by an Israeli Apache helicopter. He was bombed three times, and what was remained were only pieces of his body.

Biography

Syeikh Ahmad Yasin was born with the name Ahmad bin Ismail bin Yassin. His Palestinian passport recorded that he was born on January 1st 1929 but he claimed that he was born in 1938, 9 years younger than the documented age.

It is worth knowing that on May 15th 1948, the imaginary country, Israel declared its independence. The day after, 5 Arab countries launched an attack towards the newly formed government. The countries were Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. However, these Arab countries lost in the war; "The Arab-Israel 1948 War". At that time, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was 10 years old. His village was destroyed during the war and he was forced to move out to Gaza with his mother.

During his schooling years, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was known as a bright and sporty young boy.
However, when he was 16 years old (some sources mentioned 12) he was injured while recreating on a beach. He suffered from spinal cord injury, and was paralysed. He can only move his head, he became a quadriplegic. However, wikipedia mentioned that he was wrestling with his friend when he got injured. As to not create hatred and fight between the two families, he lied about his cause of injury. However, that was what wikipedia reported. The truth is hard to find.

Syeikh Ahmad Yassin got married when he was 22 years old and he was gifted with 11 children. In 1964, he went to Univ Ain Shams in Cairo, Egypt to further his study. However, he was captured by the Egyptian government 2 years after that because he was involved with Ikhwanul Muslimin "IM" (Muslim Brotherhood). IM was not accepted by the Egyptian government.

In 1967, the Zionists started occupating Gaza, and by that time Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was released and he went back to Gaza to serve his own people. He started off with being a teacher, and then a speaker and gradually becoming the Khatib during Friday prayers in the mosque. Being a quadriplegic, people doubted his potential at first but was later mesmerised and motivated by his speeches. He encouraged the youngs in Gaza to come to the mosque an additional of two times in a week. He was trying to nurture the value of mosque-loving in Gaza youngsters. And he succeedeed. The occupation by the Zionists burnt the spirit of the younger generations in Gaza, giving them reasons to stand up and defend their homeland.

During the period 1969-1970, Ikhwanul Muslimin was set up in Gaza, with Syeikh Ahmad Yassin being the leader. In 1973, he set up Islamic Academy while in 1982, he set up Al-Mujahidun Al-Filastiniyyun, an organisation specialising in defending the lands of Palestine and the welfare of its people.

In 1983, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was captured for possessions of weapons, setting up an underground resistance movement and threatening the existence of Israel country. For all that, he was punished 13 years in the jail. But he was jailed for only 11 months when he was released in an exchange of prisoners between the Palestine Liberation Org (PLO) and the regime.

In 1987, when the Arabs gradually lose their spirit and motivation to liberate Palestine, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin founded HAMAS @ Harakatul Muqawamatil Islamiyyah @ Islamic Resistance Movement as the official wing of Ikhwanul Muslimin in Palestine. The co-founder of HAMAS was a paeditrician, Dr Abdul Aziz Rantisi. The members of HAMAS are those whose hearts are very well attached to the mosque, those who have high jihad spirit.
Syeikh Ahmad Yassin declared, "We chose this road, and will end with martyrdom or victory" and it has been a motto among the warriors of HAMAS ever since. One of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin's main idea was to make sure Israel is eradicated, and not anywhere on the world map anymore (It's worth knowing that the West pictures Syeikh Ahmad Yassin as the terrorist leader, instead of the hero of Palestinians, who despite being paralysed still have the spirit bigger than anyone in liberating his homeland).

In December 1987, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin led the First Intifadha (the uprising). The Intifadha started off when a big Israeli lorry purposedly hit two of Palestinians small lorries, killing 4 people. The uprising was full of spirit, although they weren't supplied with any weaponries. Gaza had all their borders being blocked by the Isrealis. Gaza had become an open prison but that had never dampen the spirit of the Palestinians. One of the infamous act was throwing of stones to Israeli tankers. Useless it may sound, but if it was the only thing the Palestinians can do, it is better than staying indoor, letting the Israelis rape their women, burn their houses and kill their families.

In 1988, the Zionists chased Syeikh Ahmad Yassin out of his house to South Lebanon, and his house in Gaza was demolished. On May 18 1989, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was captured with hundreds other HAMAS warriors. A year later, he was charged with the murder of Israelis commander and army. He was punished 15 years in the prison (Just as a comparison, in 1982, Ariel Sharon brought in his army to the refugee camp in Sabra and Shatilla in Lebanon and killed more than 3000 refugees! The case was heard in the military court. And a resolution was created: those found guilty were fined 14sen USD!)
Two of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin's sons volunteered to accompany their father in the prison as his health is deteriorating, plus the fact that he is paralysed.
During his imprisonment, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin suffered chronic respiratory and abdominal diseases. He also lost his right-eye sight, blurred vision in the left eye, and muscular deterioration.

In 1992, HAMAS commando team kidnapped a Zionist army, an negotiated for a prisoner exchange. The kidnapped army will be released if the Zionists release Syeikh Ahmad Yassin and a few other old and sick HAMAS fighters. However, Zionist refused and attacked the site where the army was captived and killed 3 HAMAS warriors. The kidnapped army and 2 other Israeli commanders were also killed.

5 years later, in 1997, Khaled Mash'al, the speaker for HAMAS based in Syria was staying in Jordan. During his stay, 2 of Israeli's spies tried to assassinate him but failed miserably. They were caught by the commoners and sent to the Jordan government for trial. The King of Jordan offered to release them with the condition that Syeikh Ahmad Yassin is also released. No one knows how important the 2 Mossad agents are but the regime agreed to release Syeikh Ahmad Yassin after imprisoning and abusing him for 8 years.

The West media reported that Syeikh Ahmad Yassin agreed to be released and promised to "stay quiet" and refrain himself for calling any resistance from the Palestinians but when he resumed his post as HAMAS leader, the West media potrayed him as someone who broke the agreement.

In Sept 2000, Ariel Sharon, the then PM of the imaginary country Israel visited Masjidil Aqsa, the thirs most sacred mosque for Muslims (the West media reported that Ariel Sharon visited Al Aqsa but the Muslim media reported that Ariel Sharon polluted Masjidil Aqsa)
This sparked off the Second Intifadha. Unlike the first, the Second Intifadha was supported by Arab countries and wasn't done only by HAMAS but also by FATAH and Jihad Islami. Not only stones but mortar weapons, and traps were also used. The spirit of Muslims rose up due to the release of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin. Amaliyyah Istisyahidiyyah (known as suicide bombings by the West) also increased. Israel suffered from wealth and lives loss.

3 years later, Sept 6 2003, Israel sent an Apache to bomb Syeikh Ahmad Yassin's house in Gaza. He wasn't killed but few other children were. He was only wounded on his hand. Despite a try of assassination, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin did not try to protect himself. He's still very much a people-man, not having bodyguards surrounding him, still maintaining his daily routine and went to the mosque for daily prayers on his wheelchair. An important question, "Will the leaders now do the same if their enemy tried to kill them?".

6 months later, on 22nd March 2004, Syeikh Ahmad Yassin was being pushed in his wheelchair to his house after a Subuh prayer in the Islamic Academy Mosque in Gaza. His house was very near to the mosque. Half way to his house, an Apache flew over the sky and released 3 bombs onto Syeikh Ahmad Yassin. The bombs cost him his life and his two men. His remainings were shattered everywhere on the floor. Eye witness mentioned that after the 1st bombing, he saw a wheel from Syeikh Ahmad Yassin's wheel chair flew up into the sky. In a split second, Palestine lost a leader very dear to the people's hearts and the Muslim community lost a leader, who was brave enough despite being a quadriplegic.

Upon assassiation of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin, Dr Aziz Rantisi took office, replacing his friend as the leader of HAMAS. After not even a month, he was assassinated by an Israeli Apache. Since then, HAMAS did not disclose the identity of their leader, avoiding the same fate of Syeikh Ahmad Yassin and Dr Aziz Rantisi.

HAMAS frontmen were quotes as saying, "The Israels had killed one Syeikh Ahmad Yassin, but there will be thousands more Syeikh Ahmad Yassins emerging from the streets of Palestine".

It's time for a new committee

Salam everyone,

In this month of July
as we are going into the second half of 2009
let's reminisce all the good and bad things that's happened in the past 6 months.

With our economy terribly hit by the global crisis,
the number of influenza A(H1N1) cases in our country increasing day by day,
riot in Tehran after the Iranian presidential elections,
banning of maids into Malaysia by the Indonesian government etc.,
there seems to be a never ending conflict around the world
and in our very own country.

Coming back to IMU
we must be thankful because perhaps
the toughest challenge we had to face was 'only' the exam.

Now we are entering a new semester,
some still on holidays,
while some left Bukit Jalil to further their studies
in better places.
I meant Seremban or PMS.

And we are also in the month of Rejab,
not long before Ramadhan comes along.

And so with all these changes,
is MSOC ready for a new committee?

To friends going to PMS.. imagine u r already abroad.studying and doing your chores in your cosy room on a sunday morning, a beautiful weekend..suddenly someone knock the door.in ur mind, it must be ur buddy who just want to have a breakfast at ur place.When u open the door,surprisingly, it is not ur friend.but a christian missionary.before u could say anything to him,he says,'good morning dear child,i have a good news for u!'..what would u do?slam the door?pretend deaf?or would u invite him into ur place and listen to what he is going to say next?would u dare to listen to something that might shake ur aqidah as u dont know how to argue with him?

FCR is going to handle a 2-day course to explain and compare islam with christian, hindu and buddha.i believe it would be an eye-opener.it will be very much beneficial for everybody (not just to those going to PMS only like in the scenario given).
